The MA-AUA will hold their 2016 Resident and Practice Management Day on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the AUA Headquarters in Linthicum, Maryland. The 2016 Mid-Atlantic Resident and Practice Management Day will be an opportunity for trainees in the section to meet with their peers as well as interact with faculty from within thesection. Case presentations, point-counterpoint debates, and didactic lectures will be used to foster lively discussion amongst attendees. Career planning and financial advice speakers will provide an interactive forum to expand on resident interests beyond the day to day practice of urology.

Resident/Fellow Grant for 2016 JAC: Applications Due December 31, 2015
The 11th Annual AUA/AACU Urology Joint Advocacy Conference will take place February 28 – March 1, 2016 at the Willard InterContinental Hotel in Washington, DC. The meeting is urology’s health policy “main event.” The agenda features talks by members of Congress and key policy makers who will shape the regulatory future of medicine. It also affords attendees the chance to meet with members of Congress from their home state to advocate for urology’s current policy initiatives. The Mid-Atlantic Section will fund the trip of up to 2 residents or fellows in 2016 to attend the 11th Annual JAC, as it recognizes that engagement of young urologists in urologic advocacy is important to the specialty.
To apply, submit the following to email@example.com by December 31, 2015.
- Contact information, including name, address, email, phone, institution and year of program completion
- 1-page essay outlining interest in urology/healthcare policy and advocacy and how attending the JAC would support your interest and future aspirations
- Brief letter from Program Director confirming that you would be able to attend the JAC meeting,
February 28 – March 1, 2016, if selected.
After the conference, the participant(s) will be asked to submit a 1-page summary of his/her experience at the JAC for the MAAUA website and newsletter.
