The MA-AUA Program Committee and Planning Team have been working to create a fun, educational, family friendly meeting for our members. Find out what our 2023 Annual Meeting has to offer!

Explore Colonial Williamsburg!

  • Two tickets to visit sites and exhibits within Colonial Williamsburg are included with each hotel room reservation.
  • Additional tickets can be purchased during the meeting at the MA-AUA registration desk for $27.

Travel Information

  • Stay at the historic Williamsburg Lodge, where the meeting and all social events will take place.
  • William and Mary homecoming weekend coincides with our meeting. The hotel block is expected to sell out and availability will be limited in the area. Book your hotel early!
  • If you plan on venturing out to explore the surrounding area, we also suggest you make any dinner reservations early as well.
  • If you plan to fly, the closest airports are Richmond (RIC) and Norfolk (ORF). It is recommended to fly through Richmond, if possible, due to traffic patterns on the route between Williamsburg and Norfolk.

  • Please join us for food and drinks and to take a moment to thank our sponsors, who help make the meeting possible.
  • One ticket included with meeting registration.
  • Guest ticket included with the purchase of a Guest Social Event Package.

Young Urologists Glow in the Dark Golf

Thursday, October 19th – 7:30pm – 9:30pm

  • Bring the family for this fun event!
  • Enjoy glow in the dark golf and network other Young Urologists (in practice 10 years or less) in the Mid-Atlantic Section.
  • Food and drinks for both adults and kids will be available on the golf course.
  • Thanks to generous funding from the MA-AUA Board of Directors, this event is offered to Young Urologists and their guests and families at no additional cost.
  • Space is limited and this event is expected to fill up. Be sure to register and indicate the number of children and number of adults (including yourself) who will be attending.

Theme Night

Friday, October 20th – 7:00pm – 10:00pm

  • Go back in time with us as we experience some of the fun colonial culture Williamsburg has to offer.
  • Families and children welcome.
  • There will be food, drinks, a photo booth, and kid friendly activities!
  • One ticket included with meeting registration.
  • Guest permitted with the purchase of a Guest Social Event Package.
  • Children under 18 are invited to attend at no cost.

President’s Reception

Saturday, October 21st – 7:15pm – 10:15pm

  • Join us in the beautiful sunken fountain garden (weather permitting) at the Williamsburg Lodge in for our closing event with food, drinks, and live music.
  • One ticket included with meeting registration.
  • Guest permitted with the purchase of a Guest Social Event Package.
  • Children under 18 are invited to attend at no cost.

Guest Social Event Package – $200

  • Includes breakfast in the exhibit hall each morning and one ticket to each evening social event – Welcome Reception, Theme Night, President’s Reception.
  • Available for purchase in the meeting registration form.

  • Participate in our 5K run/walk.
  • See Colonial Williamsburg.
  • Help raise money for our Pre-medicine Enrichment Program (PEP)!

History of Williamsburg

Saturday, October 21st – 5:00pm – 6:30pm

This walking tour will begin at the College of William and Mary and continue through the colonial capital city of Williamsburg. We will follow in the footsteps of many founders and builders of our country and important leaders of the Revolutionary War, who lived and worked in Williamsburg. We will hear personal stories about these individuals, including four of the first five presidents of the United States. Other stories include the history of the flag of the Commonwealth of Virginia and the true story of Blackbeard and his crew’s visit to Williamsburg.

  • The tour will be fun and interactive and is not to be missed!
  • Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for children ages 5-17
  • Tickets are available for purchase in the meeting registration form. Space is limited.
