Visiting Student DEI Scholarship

Increasing diversity in the field of urological medicine is a top priority that will strengthen our profession, workplaces, and communities.

To proactively invest in creating welcoming spaces for all types of people in our field, MA-AUA is proud to announce its new Visiting Student DEI Scholarship Program, which offers diversity scholarships to bolster representation in urological professions.

Our Visiting Student DEI Scholarship Program closes the gap by:

  • Offering five $1,500 scholarships
  • Helping In-Section institutions signal inclusion to marginalized individuals

How It Works

In-Section institutions interested in participating in the program must apply. Those chosen to receive funding must host a 4th year URM med student who is entering the match program and has already been accepted for an away rotation. Please note, students participating in away rotations at multiple institutions are only eligible to receive funding at one institution.

How to Apply

Send a brief statement confirming you have an underrepresented minority student confirmed for an away rotation along with the student’s CV to Kirsten Myers at [email protected]. Applications are due by Sunday, July 21st and will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis.
